9. Bins and Containers

9.1 No Free Bins

Globus does not provide bins for free unless expressly agreed in writing by management as part of a specific promotion, contract, or partnership.

9.2 Customer May Buy Bin from Globus

Customers may request bins from Globus at the prevailing cost. The price may include the bin, delivery, labeling, and setup where applicable.

9.3 Customer May Use Own Bin

Customers may use their own bin if it meets Globus' accepted standard, including:

  • appropriate size;
  • durable structure;
  • safe lid;
  • easy access for riders;
  • no sharp edges;
  • no leakage;
  • suitable for the agreed waste type;
  • positioned at an approved collection point.

9.4 Damaged or Unsafe Bins

Globus may refuse to handle bins that are broken, unsafe, overloaded, leaking, contaminated, or difficult to lift safely.

9.5 Bin Ownership

Where a customer purchases a bin from Globus, the bin belongs to the customer after full payment. The customer is responsible for safekeeping, cleaning, repair, and replacement unless otherwise agreed.

9.6 Loss, Theft, or Damage

Globus is not responsible for bin theft, fire, vandalism, third-party damage, or damage caused by misuse, overloading, hot ash, chemicals, or improper waste storage.

  • daily;
  • weekly;
  • twice weekly;
  • monthly;
  • per lift;
  • on call;
  • under a fixed institutional schedule;
  • under a special pickup arrangement.

Globus may adjust collection days or times for route efficiency, safety, traffic, landfill access, municipal requirements, or operational reasons. Customers will be informed where material changes are made.

11. Missed Pickups and Service Recovery

If Globus misses a scheduled pickup due to Globus' fault, the customer should report the issue through official channels within 24 hours.

Where a missed pickup is verified and caused by Globus, Globus may provide:

No refund or credit shall apply where the missed pickup was caused by:

  • photo proof;
  • customer signatures where necessary;
  • app-based collection confirmation;
  • exception codes.

Photo proof will focus on waste bins, bags, or collection points. Globus will avoid unnecessary photographs of people, private interiors, sensitive documents, or unrelated property.

  • route monitoring.

Customers agree that Globus may use these systems to manage registration, billing, route planning, pickup verification, service communication, payments, complaints, and account records.

Globus will make reasonable efforts to keep the technology available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. During app or system downtime, Globus may use manual records, phone calls, WhatsApp, paper route sheets, or other fallback methods.

Customers must pay for services according to the approved rate, invoice, package, contract, or quotation. Payment may be made through:

  • official Globus mobile money account;
  • approved payment gateway;
  • bank transfer;
  • approved POS;
  • official payment link;

Customers must not pay riders, staff, agents, or third parties through personal accounts unless Globus has expressly authorized that payment channel in writing.

A payment is recognized only when received and confirmed through Globus' official records.

15. Unauthorized Payments

Globus is not responsible for payments made to:

  • rider personal mobile money accounts;
  • staff personal accounts;
  • unauthorized agents;
  • third-party accounts;
  • fake payment links;
  • unofficial numbers;
  • unreceipted cash collectors.

If a customer makes payment outside official Globus channels, Globus may treat the invoice as unpaid unless management verifies and approves the payment.

Customers should report any request for unofficial payment immediately.

16. Fees and Charges

Fees may include:

  • labour cost;
  • insurance;
  • taxes;
  • inflation;
  • route changes;
  • waste volume;
  • disposal costs;
  • regulatory or municipal charges;
  • customer service requirements.

Globus will provide reasonable notice of material price changes except where urgent changes are required due to government charges, landfill fees, taxes, fuel shocks, or regulatory changes.

Continued use of the service after notice of a price change means you accept the new price.

18. Invoices and Receipts

Globus may issue invoices and receipts by:

  • SMS;
  • WhatsApp;
  • email;
  • app notification;
  • printed receipt;
  • payment gateway confirmation;

Where payment is overdue, Globus may:

  • send reminders;
  • suspend collection;
  • refuse additional pickups;
  • charge late payment fees;

Customers may cancel service through official channels.

For monthly customers, cancellation usually takes effect at the end of the paid billing cycle unless otherwise agreed.

Where a customer cancels before the end of a paid period, Globus may continue service until the end of the billing period instead of issuing a pro-rated refund.

Institutional, estate, commercial, and municipal customers must follow the notice period in their service agreement. Where no written notice period exists, Globus may require at least 30 days' notice.

22. Globus' Right to Refuse, Suspend, or Terminate Service

Termination does not remove the customer's obligation to pay outstanding amounts.

Customers must treat Globus staff, riders, contractors, and representatives with respect.

Globus will not tolerate:

  • verbal abuse;
  • threats;
  • physical assault;

  • general waste;
  • plastics;
  • paper/cardboard;
  • organics;
  • recyclables;
  • other agreed waste streams.
